Final Preparations Underway For Los Angeles Kings? Victory Parade

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ? Fans are lining the streets of downtown Los Angeles, where the Kings? Stanley Cup victory parade just kicked off.

AEG is helping to throw the parade, which started at the corner of Figueroa and West 5th streets. Players and their families, coaches, and the team?s mascot are riding on double-decker buses and showcasing the Stanley Cup along the one-mile parade route. The parade is expected to last 30 to 45 minutes and will culminate at Staples Center.

Staples Center and all of its refreshment stands will open at approximately 1 p.m. Thursday to fans with tickets to the rally, which starts at 2:30 p.m.

It will feature video highlights from the season, speeches from the players, and some ?surprises,? according to event organizers.

Free tickets to the event are now selling for upward of $200 on sites such as eBay and Craigslist.

Many of the tickets went to 2012 and 2013 season ticket holders. The remaining ones were only available online Tuesday night.

There will be several parking lots available for fans near the parade route, as well as at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Staples Center.

However, fans are encouraged to take the Blue and Expo lines, or the 7th and Figueroa Street Metro Station. Downtown LA residents can reach the parade by taking the Dash bus line.

The following closures are in effect:

? Figueroa Street between 3rd Street and Pico Boulevard
? 11th Street/Chick Hearn Court between Figueroa and Cherry streets
? L.A. LIVE Way (formerly Cherry Street) between Olympic and Pico boulevards
